Season schmeason, I’ve done 2 this week
Slow-roasted shoulder of lamb with boulangere spuds, coriander & garlic roasted carrots, roast parsnips, green beans, lamb gravy.
Chocolate bread and butter pudding with raspberries and vanilla ice cream.
Now thinking of cheeses…
We have a gammon in the Oven as I type.
The left hand wine won hands down
I also like a glass of different wine in each hand.
We refer to it as, “being a well balanced drinker”
Or double fisting.
Got half a lamb over Christmas from a friend of a friend farmer, this was the chops. Rendered in a pan from cold and done still pink.
Edit: looks more pink than it was on the outside, the inside came up very nicely when slightly pink and well rested.
Corned beef and onion sandwich. Power cut at 17:30 has just been restored.
Was going to be Cajun Chicken and salad
I like corned beef.
So do I, but I was looking forward to the chicken
I’ve been enjoying Rick Stein’s Mexican series, he hasn’t featured the Uncle Ben special as yet. Think he is working up to a grand finale.
