Where’s the steam?

I confess I had to stare at it for a while. But it’s like one of those 3D prints - suddenly the whole thing leaps out at you. Genius.

Come to think if it, the colour palette and the concentration on the essence of the experience rather than the detail (wheels, driver etc) was clearly inspired by Turner’s classic Rain Steam and Speed The Great Western Railway
