@anon14766838 do you have a favourite recipe for Garam Masala? (presuming you make your own  :stuck_out_tongue: which I haven’t done for ages :stuck_out_tongue: )

Just buy his book; it’ll be easier in the long run

I don’t actually make my own. I used to use the one from the Pat Chapman recipe book, but when I ran out I started using the Bart ready made on.

As an aside, Pat Chapman has something he calls “aromatic salt” - which is normal salt with some spices added. I like it and find it effective at adding something to dishes.

This. I actually prefer just trying other varieties of Garam Masala to buggering about mixing my own.

This is what I’ve been doing for years- maybe I’ll just continue :stuck_out_tongue:

Another glorious afternoon in Tropical Liverpool. :tropical_fish::palm_tree::sun_with_face::palm_tree::tropical_fish:. Got the barbecue fired up as two of the kids are away.

Sea Bream, Sea Bass and pork belly done in a honey and chilli coating.

Not bad at all…

I remember asking a friend what the difference was between Dhal and Tarka Dhal.

He said, “Well it’s like Dhal, only 'otter”

I’ll get me coat.
