I love curried eggs

Too much icing. They’re an American thing and over sweet.

Far inferior to hot cross buns, Bakewells, Victoria Sponges, Trifles, Chelsea buns etc etc.

Victoria sponge probably should have its own thread.
In my Michelin experience,one of the hardest cakes to make well
