Popped into the Knightsbridge then? :smirk:

Lol, the empty wastes of Suffolk, actually. I reckon it must have a leak as I had it down to 13mpg at one point!

That’s impressive, not managed much in the teens, apart from track and airfield days… Loony!

What are you getting when driving within the limit?

Heh, usually around 20-22 in mixed normal driving, maybe 18-20 if more ā€˜spirited’.

When you get 18-20 mpg, you describe your driving as more spirited…

wtf do you call it when you get 15mpg then!!?!

was that just sitting in traffic?

Nope Cheshire countryside A/B roads.

I didn’t know they’d go round bends…

I was surprised, 4wd and they stick to bends like glue.

Good point. I find that if I have a few hours to waste completely unproductively, and a gallon or two of petrol that I need to see burnt to no effect then I can achieve both of those things simply by trying to drive from anywhere to anywhere else inside the M25. The only way to avoid this is by going ā€˜out of hours’, so to speak. I dropped in at ChelseaDave’s at 8:00am on Saturday and I hardly had to queue on the way there at all. OK, there was a bit of delay around the elevated section of the M4, and a bit more getting from the M4 to Richmond, and a bit in Richmond itself, but otherwise really not too bad. For London.

Well Pritt perhaps… lol.

I once got less than 9mpg out of a Vauxhall Viva…On the M1 towards Leeds, as fast as it would go, which was an indicated 110mph. We’d filled up at Woolley Edge, then floored it for 15 miles up t’motorway, Filling up when we got to Hyde Park showed we’d used 2 gallons.

ahhhhh Hyde Park, Leeds - a location of many memories… some held with more fondness than others, and most blurred…
