A draft of the artists to appear at Woodstock - 1969 - with their fees and the appearance dates

Wonder if Richie Havens got paid a bonus for carrying the festival while everything behind him was going to shit!

Also noticed there is no figure for the Keef Hartley band.
The guy I bought my house from was in that band and his wife complained that he only ever got paid for half the things he did in his career!
(That is what he told her anyway!)

Jefferson Airplane - $15,000
Santana - $1,500

I know Santana were just an up and coming band at that time but looking at that through 2023 eyes :eyes: and having a genuine LOL moment.

Except, even with 2023 eyes, at the time Santana were new on the scene and Airplane were already well established.

Missed my edit :slightly_smiling_face:

As a Mod I could easily change stuff around to make you look like a tit

And Airplane always kinda sucked. The less said about that Starship shite that followed, the better

Rosco Gordon Setter?

I suspect he was quite a hound in his day

Happy 56th Birthday to -

My earliest memories of the World date to this year - when my baby brother came into it - and by some kind of celestial coincidence many of my favourite albums date from the same year: if I had a one-shot go at time-travel, January 1st 1967 is where I’d go :star_struck:

I was 8. It was OK. But you’d have been too late for the 1966 World Cup final.

I was just approaching my 7th birthday (Feb). A year later my musical journey started.
