I’ve been using my Huawei P30 phone to remotely control the DMP-A6 - both streaming from Qobuz and playing from the internal memory on the A6.
Today, if I try to connect to Qobuz, I get a message saying “500 Internal Server Error”
I can still use the Huawei to play from the internal memory card in the A6 but when I select - streaming - Qobuz, the above message appears on the Huawei’s screen.
Any ideas chaps?
Our broadband connection (part of our Sky package, bundled with phone and tv) is fairly shit. It drops out quite often - we get messages on our tv and mobiles saying no internet. These interruptions normally don’t last long, usually seconds, occasionally a minute or two.
Sometimes when streaming from Qobuz (using the Eversolo app on my mobile to control) the music will stop for a few seconds then continue. I’ve always assumed this is because of the poor broadband connection affecting the wifi.
But I’ve also noticed that sometimes the music stops for short periods when playing tunes from the A6’s internal M2 storage.
This has me flumoxed - how can the wifi misbehaving affect it when the A6 is wired direct to the hifi system?
Strange, I found the streaming on the A8 to be rock solid. It would happily play Radio Paradise or Qobuz for the whole day without drops.
Many streamers and TVs etc will only work at 100Mbps and some like to see a 100FDX connection even if they support Gig and it sometime causes the connection to flap. No idea if you can force the sky router ports to 100FDX though.
How and what is your A6 connected to i.e is it the SKY router via ethernet?
Also, you didn’t answer my question : why is the house wifi needed if I’m playing music direct from the A6’s internal storage which hard wired direct to the stereo?
I appreciate the Eversolo app on my mobile is sending a prompt to the A6 via the wifi to start, stop or skip etc, but once the music has started playing, should it not continue until it receives the next command?
