Quality old drama series

The word ‘Quality’ from the thread title seems to have had an early bath :grinning:

I remember watching this religiously during summer of '84.

The wife asked for, and got, the box set.

It was so good, but we no longer have it so I think it must have been released into the wider family.

Scared to search TBH :grimacing:

Do it. The opening sequence to EVERY episode is breathtaking :rofl::rofl:

You old pervert

Really enjoyed the first 2 eps of the Crow Road tonight. Looking forward to the rest. I recall it being on but for some reason I didn’t see it first time around. Really good & not what I expected.

On the iPlayer I guess, I recorded it.

Nooooooh!!
I found a copy of that as a BBC video box set years ago in London and on watching realised how truly dreadful it was.
There are some things that should remain as nostalgia.

That abortion was filmed near me, used to get the train to school and the next stop was Bursledon station that had new signs saying “Tarrant”

Lot of mates at school who’s parents were yachties and sail makers would endlessly chunter about that shite.

Been watching the Singing Detective again, so bloody good. Anything by Potter is still worth a watch. I do miss that old play of the week format that delivered some great TV, it must have been a great vehicle for new actors and writers.

I still enjoy the plays on R4,.
