Boys from the blackstuff 80 to 82
Edge of Darkness is one of my all-time favourites. It was recently “remastered” so you can get it in HD on Amazon etc. The DVDs were a bit shonky.
Jedburgh is a great character.
Yeah, Edge of Darkness is absolutely outstanding.
ITV '79 -'82 IIRC - Sapphire & Steel.
Edit: Looks like you can watch them all on ITV’s hub -

Plus Joanne Whalley
Dance Ti Thy Daddy
Rockliffe’s Babies was a favourite of mine.

Shoestring was another staple, along with Strangers with Mark McManus on ITV.
Although maybe not ‘dramas’ in the strictest terms.
Harry’s Game was another I can remember
Harry’s Game was great. I recently rewatched Our Friends in the North & really enjoyed it. Stood up surprisingly well 25 years on.
I remember my Dad enjoying A Fairly Secret Army.
This thread makes me laugh, my mate tried to lend me his Howard’s Way VHSs recently.
