Quitting smoking

This is where I am currently.

Same here - I love the smell of a cigar still but I don’t trust myself especially if I was boozing as well.

I was nagged for years and years, but it only worked when I was ready.

Definitely - no point making things more difficult for yourself.

Strange you should say that - my nephew was a heavy smoker but weaned himself off the fags by vaping. Over a couple of years, he gradually reduced the nicotine % content in the vaping liquid down to nil. But he still vapes. Says he can’t stop, even though he’s not addicted to nicotine anymore. Weird

It’s a bit like wanking on river banks

Once you start…

I’ve quit several times, but always seemed to go back to it. I now vape with a very low nicotine content (I mix my own so can control the nicotine level). I do occasionally cave in and buy a pack which will usually last me a week or two if i’m massively stressed. They do make me feel like shit though so I’ve not done that for a while - mainly because paying over a tenner a pack offends me.

They are horrible things with the exception of Sobranie Black Russians which if I could have come up with a way of smuggling them past SWMBO I would have bought a carton of in Geneva as I bloody love the things and they are no longer sold in the UK.
