stop posting pictures. These things are so tempting…but no space…moreover two delinquent cats and a TT are bad enough…cats and tapes?

just think of all the fun they’d have…

Not enough things going bang over here - more bang bang help fire, if you’d be so kind

I’ve have been waiting impatiently for these to arrive, but here they are at last :slightly_smiling_face:

First up, one of my ultimate must-have albums on tape, at 7.5ips

Some other rather nice tapes, the Roberta Flack is 7.5ips and should sound nice.

And @murrayjohnson s tape

Very interested to hear WGO. I still don’t get the rationale behind why some albums were put out at 7.5 ips and others weren’t or at least, how they decided which should be & which not.

I may have to acquire a really good new blank tape & run off a copy of that if I can’t find one myself. I’d recommend you did the same with the Al Green.

I think we all need to get together with many machines and much blank tape.

Its easier to find the original tapes than it is virgin Maxell tape!

But yep I agree once we have enough then a decent listening/ recording session get together would be good :+1:

Decent

No shortage of tape about.

Except both of my decks, and I expect Guy’s too have been biased for Maxell tape.

Don’t get him starting to appreciate Donovan! I’ll never get the tape.

Don’t worry, first to go on will be Marvin Gaye.

It doesn’t have a low/medium/high switch? Surely one of the current formulations is close enough.
