Lovely job cleaning that stuff off. Try acetone, but don’t let it near any plastic.
I was lucky when I did the belt on my Tascam that it had only just started to go sticky.

TBH if there is any plastic other than polythene or polypropylene nearby then I fear acetone vapour would be a big risk. White spirit is gentler. Meths or paraffin might work (no smoking, obvs).

There is all sorts of weird chemicals here to try, hopefully a scrape will remove the bulk of it.
Tac Away wipes are extremely good at removing adhesive residue

Ow ! Occasionally someone at work would try to clean laser safety specs (acrylic, typically £200-300 per pair) with acetone. That was a bad day. But not as bad as using a jet duster with a volatile propellant in the can on a large calcium fluoride optic, which might have cost thousands and taken some expert weeks to polish to shape. CaF2 is very intolerant of thermal shock. Very.
Mostly isopropanol according to the SDS.

What’s rong with a house full of weird chemicals? I would have thought, mushy pea idiocy notwithstanding, that you might approve of an apothecary’s smörgåsbord being available in case of emergencies or nothing on the Telly.

On Apple or Android keyboards it’s easy - just long press the letter for options.
Windows is faff. Open CharMap from the search box, then select, copy and paste.

As a child I mistook an unlabeled 5ltr container of orange liquid for the 5ltr container of orange squash my relatives bought in bulk from Makro.
Turned out to be washing up liquid, and luckily I only downed half a glass…was vomiting bubbles for about a day…
