Chris was our postie for a while, gave him a proper workout with all the crap I ordered back then.
Pretty sure he moved to Farrington Gurney.
I’ve completely forgotten the name, but he was awesome - lived somewhere like Singapore I think, and owned a florists as a side hustle, which is a heck of a mood. Seemed to take an approach to hifi similar to @Mrs_Maureen_OPinion and watches.
Solidstateman - Aidan iirc, think he was a yank [edit: actually 'strine] living in Singapore, big Sade fan - vague notion that James @FatCuntTroller met him on a business trip yonks ago.
This proves nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.
I was more of a lurker on the WAM but loved Scalford. But the parking was a nightmare wasn’t it?
Most importantly still in contact with so many people I first got to know there.
SSM Solidstatesman
Wasn’t Cookie Monster a Chris too?
SSM! That’s the badger.
I have less pleasant memories of my time meeting a US based Wammer!
I thought Solid was Aussie?
Ah yes - what an epic cunt he turned-out to be!
Yes! You’re right
Never actually met him. I went to Singapore on business a few times and he threatened to meet up but he never did.
Might need to narrow that down a bit.
Yep, remember now, he was an odd feller, but likeable-enough in forum mode.
Thought he was a ‘Strayan in Singapore. Maybe mistaken
You are not
I still remember a fella by the name of Wee Tam, that would sometimes attempt to bait you on a weekend after an afternoon of spirited drinking.
Twelve years later I still smile at your calling him Urine Thomas at every opportunity.
He used to believe in astrology. Played it super camp but always maintained he was straight.
I think so. Did he drive a Taxi?
Tam McCucheon. 9 parts buckfast. 1 part lunatic.
Also spent thousands on foo teapots.
