It’s going to be a bit of a warm up for me doing the 3 day Fjallraven Classic later that month, and then possibly a roll straight into a Scafell Pike ascent with a work group.
Which means ira likely to be ice cold, and torrential rain this year.

The wife and SiL, both civil servants but not yet pensioners, have been regaling me with tales of the absolute shitshow. I hope you’re ok; some people are going through real hardship.

Yea, smack band bang in it. Luckily i went part time due a couple of years ago, got some of my pension back then. The rest has been outstanding since Aug last year. Some horror stories out there and yet no Minister has apologised etc etc. Busying myself trying to organise a coordinated approach to all MPs. Lessons learnt from the far worse PO scandal…my arse!
I’ve been trying to access my CS pension, just get sent around in circles. Luckily I don’t need it desperately so I’m going to give it a few months to see if it all settles down.
It should be sorted by the end of this year, the Cabinet Office oriority is to get the Crapita contract working, so maybe earlier for you.
Looking forword to Settle, bloody need it that’s for sure.
