Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today V1.2 (Part 1)

That cartridge is quite pleasing to the eye, and no doubt to the ear.

I shall continue to like the Rosewood sig for mostly bank account reasons.

As it’s a capital G indicating force, they may have got it right…

The G stands for guts. Mainly as it’s beauty is hard to stomach.

Where the cardboard in the box has more resale value than the contents

Fitted full length heavyish curtains behind the Gotos. Very pleased because this has addressed two issues - firstly a slight shoutiness in the upper mid on some recordings (mostly CDs) has now completely disappeared.
Secondly, by hanging the r/h curtain over one section of the bi-folding doors and the l/h curtain over the wall next to the glazing, the bloody annoying asymmetrical look of the speakers/doors from the sweetspot (others like @htm_1968 also mentioned this) has now gone. Classic win/win!

Looks much better :+1:

That looks like a reasonable solution @Jim. The asymmetry would have set my OCD off to say the very least. The room looks great.

That’s better, now just adjust the paving slabs to align the grout lines and job’s a good 'un

Well, maybe somewhere with a bigger garage might be nice. :stuck_out_tongue:

Is the plant on the stand in situ to avoid any risk of you walking into the horn?

(If so, good idea, I would need to do that too, otherwise I’d absent mindedly walk into them at some point).

Two plants, presumably spinning in different directions to each other.

No, it’s not in the right place to prevent that, I’ve done it so many times  not to worry though - where there’s no sense etc…

Yadda yadda… . . . Right, when’s the next bakeoff and what’s Ann cooking?
