It’s a power amp with a volume control and 8/4 ohm speaker switching. Andy left it here and I’ve done some more listening. It seems to work extremely well with the Gotos :+1:

From memory mine has a single 6-Ohm output tap on the transformer. :+1:

The steam of freshly downloaded marketing fragrances the air…

Trying an ES Lab DX S4 (Tripath 180W jobby) with my disco panels. It works well.
Really coaxes out some bass out.

That should narrow it down quite a lot. Probably to a list of zero actually.

Little headphone amp, which drives the HD600s clearly and easily.

nice. I Have the D50 dac and the P50 LPSU but for some reason never added the A50, dunno why as the dac is very nice,

I’ve had a D50s for several years which I like. Both that and the A50iii are well made and sound good.

Not mine but in my system today.
A Decware Zen clone 2.4w amp owned by hoops to be delivered to Jim to use in a few days time. Seemed a shame to not give it a spin. It’s quite different to the ES Lab 180 power amp - Both work

Both the ES Lab amp and the Zen work very well.

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a couple of rare Audio Technica vintage mats from Jamie on PFM.

The first one I’m trying is a vacuum mat, the AT-665BX. The top hat is actually a battery operated pump that creates the vacuum by sucking the air out through the spindle hole. You can then remove the pump when playing or leave it in place as you wish. I prefer to remove it.

I was lucky enough to also get the legendary AT-600 ceramic mat.

Never heard of either of those mats.
Guessing the vacum one never took off

The AT665BX and the AT666EX were both around in the early 80s. I don’t know if the latter replaced the former but it had a separate pump that involved a bit more faff. I prefer the simplicity of the AT665BX. Certainly the AT666EXs are more common.

Does the record only touch the inner and outer part of the mat,or is it fully supported by the mat?
