Thanks. I’ve only got fairly crappy records on it just now. All my good records are stored on my ladderax unit. I’ll keep an eye out for something better but it’ll do for now.

Cambridge Audio 851N network streamer
Using the preamp in the 851N into the F4 to try and keep the heat down and it’s sounding very good.

Affordable Valve company or similar, Kevin? The style of this new website shares some similarities in phrasing, but this (new mfrs?) site is a heckuva lot less untidy & jumbled around in general, even if it still doesn’t scream consummate professionalism.

No. Geoff has built a couple of amps for me in the past. This is his latest build. I’ve had it on loan for a couple of weeks now and it just gets better every day. It drives the Singing Fridges so well. I’m very happy with the combination

As much as I love my amp I think it’s too powerful for the Direkts as I barely need to turn the volume up before Anne is in moaning it’s too loud
That’s a gain rather than power problem.
I have always used both the 2 way and 3 way Direkts with 8W 300Bs amps and never had a problem with enough power tbh, so the 10W EL84 amp should be fine unless you want to reproduce Deep Purple live

Joking aside I do think I need to look at a new amp long term as the Direkts are staying put.
What you need are some nice Audio Innovations 2nd audio, 15 watts of lovely 2a3
