I love those deals. Be it amps, bikes, golf clubs or whatever, where we are able to trade in and it only cost £100 to move up to the next level. I don’t know why they are still so suspicious??

Nah only joking she did buy me the speakers after all :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Absolutely Keith - I wouldn’t have been able to afford some of my stuff otherwise.

Put the Pre2 in the system last night and it sounds great. Very open for a solid state pre and a nice balance of warmth and detail. I imagine the eVo2i integrated is a nice unit too.

Good result mate :+1:

Popping ESL63 needs a return to Huntingdon when I have time, so mancave speakers have come down for an outing in the main system.

Ruark Equinox? They were nice, a mate had a pair that he lent to me when he went travelling. Needed fairly zingy amps though, IIRC.

The Truth preamp. Met up with Jack (Non-Smoking Man from the Wam) at Rugby Services this morning. He says ‘Hi’ by the way! It looks like a toy, weighs less than a Tory MP’s conscience, and sounding great so far.

So what is it? LDR? Or is the power just for a remote control?

It’s an active LDR. No remote on this one.

I fancied trying a dollop of old school TD1541A and CDM-2 goodness again.

This certainly hasn’t let me down and I love it’s old school looks.

AT arm?

I really like the IIx. I don’t think I would have put the arm rest where the previous owner did though.

Fab looking TT

I’ve got one. Sounds great. In fact I think it’s better than maybe 90% of the preamps I’ve had here, and streets ahead of a certain £30k plus two boxer.
