Was it copper Slagle inside?

I believe it was (is)

If I not did have a IO I could be interested not in the SUT. Suspect a step up in more ways than one from my AN S2L clone. Sadly trip to land of top SUT’s prevents me.

Yes.

So far so good - rich and detailed feels high end, just trying to get some comparisons with other likely choices. Unfortunately the Rogers would need the SUT to run the IO and I was hoping not to have to do that.

Just searched - I bought it off Mike @Notdownindevon

Are you thinking of a phono stage with direct input at the high sensitivity, low impedance and low noise required for the IO ? Are there any head amps out there that might do that ?

Yep Cu Slagle.
From what I understood Mark (Deepdivedog) produced the barrel, and Bob finished and attached to a plinth for Jack.
I had Speedysteve do some work on the shielding and redo the cap (out of copper)…its a nice thing but I didn’t have a IO so sold it…To Ben…

Bloody good T/T that. Ran my SME 20/2 pretty close and shat all over a full fat LP12. I still miss it. The arm is a dream to set up and use.

I’ve been working toward box reduction Graeme so replacing the Io with a good mc and very decent phonostage works for me, rather than accommodating the Io. Funnily enough I’ve got a VLT phono that runs the Io fine, it’s good but not the last word in phono stages. Which is shorthand for saying I fancy a change…

It was originally commissioned by me. It’s a 1:100 ratio, btw.

I do remember a copper and silver sut bake-off at Jacks back in the day. It ran silvers fairly close iirc. The Vida acquitted it self well too.
