It helps to remember the mind is like a parachute, it only works when it’s open.
I’ve seen ‘n’ heard that a few times
I bought them on a whim for £150 off a chap who sold me a CD player, so hopefully I can move them on again ok
I have heard these driven by an Audio Note OTO line SE, my favourite sound I’ve heard yet, so yes, one day, a pallet load of tubes and horns delivered by a Japanese man on his Komatsu would be good
After a recent visit to Dorset, I was musing why I’d never visited Clouds Hill, the home of TE Lawrence when we lived in the area. You can still go to the small cottage. He seems to have been a man who had at least got some priorities in the correct order.
Look interesting, what are they?
Vox Olympian V0.1b
*not really
Whose were they
I think they were Kochel K200s
A friendly Wammer called Richard from Northampton area. He’s sold them now though
Rabski?!
No, he’s RJK on the WAM
I’d strongly suggest getting a pair of large boxes in situ to set a reasonable expectation.
(Showing images of other members compromises has helped in the past)
If you have any ambition of acoustic panels, they want to be in ASAP as once the cushion purchases start you know you have lost…
You need photos of Jim’s setup here - it’s a veritable public service that he provides.
Buy the Snell J II’s that are on Wam/PFM then find amp to suit.
if nothing else it will stop me buying them!

not that I need them,
I just like them…
Better yet, Gregg’s THX monstrosities…
Had a few pairs of neats including the motive 2s. The mystique 2 were my favourite.
Still have a pair of original petites in the loft that were a one off pair. The bass units are gone, but no idea how you get into them to put new ones in.
Scaffolding also forbidden. I have a cunning plan around Audio Chic - type wooden stands to create opportunity for things like the Snells and get me on the road to Valvetown
Valvetown and sexy SUTs.
