Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today V1.2

Be nice if quad would make a dab radio in the same size as the fm3 and 4

They could take a TEAC 300 and put the board in sideways.

Didn’t realise quad had brought out a new 33/303 this year
Wonder if they will do a 44/405

Any good?

That and a Wiim Pro replacing the Sonos all-in-one? :+1:

Looks like you have the Super Lintons there as well :grinning:

ALL the IAG!

Very interested to hear about the Lintons at some point.

It would almost certainly work a charm. I’m using a Qutest because I’m familiar with it and it’s here but the Wiim (or a Node Nano or CA MXN10) would work brilliantly.

Yes, there will be an AVF review shortly. I’m currently using the Quads with the Neat Petite Classic and that sounds very good I have to say.

Sorry Stu, I missed this as I was on my phone reading it. On the understanding it’s been years since I listened to an original, I think it’s pretty decent. Both bits are beautifully made too.

Look forward to hearing the pair, hopefully they might be at Bristol

Do you have the requisite pipe and slippers for the stereotypical review references?

I have to say, much as I’m wearing a pair of slippers as I type, the sound I’m getting is anything but pipe and slippers

indeed, the pricing in the UK gets it to within Ā£100 of an AT33PTG/II, which gets you into very very solid MC territory. I’ll be curious to see how it stacks up. I only paid Ā£185 for essentially a brand new one, so I’m fairly relaxed about its price / performance ratio.

I wish i had known!

And of course things like new Hana SL etc , and also maybe a s/h Hana ML for that money.

Hard to compare apples to apples when you start going s/h with carts though, as pricing is madly variable. I mean I sold a decent transfiguration phoenix for Ā£500 last year, and ain’t nothing new (and probably second hand) competing with that kind of value.

But I do think for the £450-500 that you can find them at the AT33 was such a good cart. Albeit for £2100 the Hana umami blue was soooo much better in every way.

New power amp - Naim NAP 100 running direct from the iFi Neostream using its software based volume control, which is pretty flakey and keeps turning itself up.

Inspired to give my 33/303 a play earlier after seeing Ed’s combo.
Definitely needs a service and the pre a good clean looking at it against the fm3.

It’s quad city here at present

Is one supposed to listen to them or worship them?

In this case one writes an email to Arendal asking how the agreed upon 1528 Bookshelf has somehow morphed into the 1528 Monitor during shipping…
