Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today V1.2

Ive a Cobalt SE which Ive had now for almost 2 years and really rate it. By all accounts the Bordeaux is the one to have but for me it was a stretch too much.

I have to stamp on thoughts of the master gold

I have a Bordeaux but did borrow the Gold for a show & it was a cut above. Sadly much spendy.

£11k above guy? It’s quite a leap from the blue to gold

No idea of the Gold’s price or indeed which one it was. It was borrowed from Mik so I guess the SE.

Very spendy. Retails at £14.5k for the standard version and an additional £4k for Mik’s version

I was talking with the guys from Solid Sounds at the Maverick show who are doing both versions now.

The Master Gold (Only from Mik) was £22K+ last time I depressed myself. (There is a Gold, Gold SE then Master gold II)

Apologies for the low quality film

How much is the Master Gold Ultimate Reference Limited Edition version?

Asking for a friend who’s putting a modest system together…

If Sir has to ask the price…

Wot, no Imperial Platinum Grande-Cru Subscribers’ Issue Exclusive Edition?

Common!

To quote the late Dennis Brown: “Money in my pocket but I just can’t get no love…”

I think the reissue is better.

So, as part of my downsizing, i’ll only have MM phono stage for a while, so did a bit of research suggesting this is a pretty good bet for midrange MM. Quite expensive new in the UK at around £400-450. But one guy on ebay had one that he said had been used once.

i asked for lots of photos and information, and he said, 4 hours use max, then back in box and stylus looked perfect.

i can confirm, its in perfect condition, and even if it needs a new stylus, i paid so little for it, that it would still be cheaper than buying a new one!

Great MM carts the 200s.

Agree, just shocked by how the price of them in the UK has inflated to the point where there’s a lot more choice than there used to be, including some very decent MCs.

Got FoLs Nag 200 from Jpn for about £175 IIRC including headshell.

Yes, I must confess that I paid around £240 when I bought one, which ages the purchase somewhat.

Tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 1969
