Oh ye of little faith. I still have the Doge 6 CDP and the Pre, so :fu:

Edit: And the N.E.W. A60 Power Amp, but that’s virtually out of shot, to the right of the rack.

It means you get to try plenty of stuff :+1:

Classic ex-post justification of the sluttiest of Hi-Fi Tarts. Well struck Sir!

Hi,

Looks like a Volvere with a Benz Micro Ace S cartridge.

Yes - a MK2 Volvere (so about 15 years old) with a SME 309 and Benz Ace SM cart.
I had to get a new spindle / bearing cup for it, which the seller paid for, but it also meant getting the new scalloped clamp as Avid changed the thread size. Will get the scalloped feet to match once my wallet recovers.:weary:

Have to say Conrad, the boss of Avid, was extremely helpful in diagnosing some problems I was having.

I also had to buy some SME set up tools which are so overpriced they make Harry Maguire look good value.:rage:

Sound adequate enough to stick with vinyl, do you think Paul ?

People always speak highly of Conrad.

It will always be my secondary source, mainly because I am a lazy fucker, but it sounds excellent on clean well pressed vinyl - which sadly seems to be a rare commodity from my first dozen LP purchases.

Those Remton stages are very good. I’m surprised they are not more popular
