Yeah, it was pretty decent. Very high gain though.
I can attest to that
Thanks to Stu (and delivery from my Brother), the arrival of a ālittleā Michell Mycro. The wife vetoed the Micro Seiki, the first and only item she has objected to, which has been a long list of kit!
I am enjoying the ābudgetā end of Turntable ownership, at around 1/3rd the cost of the Rega P9.
I did love the Michell Gyro SE but setting up was a pain and no dust cover. In hindsight I should have gone full Gyro at the time. The Mycro is a lot simpler and nice and neat/compact. The wife did love the looks of the Gyro, and P9.

I donāt understand telling a partner they canāt have something. Just why?
Oh given the amount of kit I have had, its the only negative comment over the years, I took it as a sign for domestic bliss.
Iāve already prepped her for a big pair of Tannoys or Goodmans Axiom which she is fine with to be fair.
I can understand that if she just didnāt like it so you decided to make a change. I took as in āyouāre not having thatā type of thing lol.
Oh no, it wasnāt a demand, just I took notice due to the lack of previous comments
Iāve been to many houses where it is stacked in every room with average hi fi from the 70/80s,most not working but totally intend to get it working soon.
Trouble is they havenāt noticed they havenāt seen the misses since the early 90s but in there head is probably busy knitting behind a kef coda mk3
Think this is where it goes from a hobby to an illness

Where is Bob @ICHM ?
Self isolation
He posts infrequently on PFM. After he stopped posting here, I PMāed him via one of his posts there but he never responded. I hope he is OK. He seems to have simply made a clean break from us here.
Look at his profile - he was looking in here two hours ago!
That is a separate issue. He is entitled to look at whatever he wishes to. I like Bob. He was very generous in lending me some kit when I was really very ill and not hassling me to return it while I was fecked (which was months IIRC). I would like him to see him posting here again.
I totally agree - heās a loverly bloke and I really miss him
Hope he still reads the footie thread.
Iāve had a couple of conversations with him and heās fine
That is good to hear.
Yep he was always generous and willing to help out by loaning his stuff etc
