They just had the avondale rectifiers replaced for newer ones. Its fair to say, there’s not much scope for extra foo with the parts that you put into these when you built them! They sounded great when I put them back in, slightly different emphasis than the Tokin SIT amp.

Where are you with it all rob, I still remember that short time listening when I first picked up the sits, blowing my mind, was it Thomas Mayer amps at the time I can’t remember the exact but they were huge ?

Setup might have taken 10 minutes including hoovering up the inevitable explosion of polystyrene.
TBH I didn’t trust the Sonos “line in” but it worked fine straight away.

Oh yes, it’s currently on the TV rack (that has become increasingly depopulated over the years) which is quite awkward. Decent stand arriving Friday or maybe tomorrow.
