A friend has brought round a pair of Tannoy Autograph Minis which was very kind of him. I’ve wanted to hear a pair for ages. Lovely little things.

I really enjoyed playing with a pair of those although I’ll stick my neck out and say the Fyne Vintage V is even better.

Not been in the system for quite a while, so I guess it’s it’s turn on the rack -

I still think this is better than the Sony, so decision made :+1:

Currently have loads of amps, loads need to go.

Think I’m going to have to get a small cheap suv very soon,so need to sell everything….ish

It’s a Stax UA-7

Oh, you’re a great help!

New to me, sadly via paul messenger who had them on review from Townsend when he died, and yesterday met the wonderful Chris Harris to collect on a 4 hour return drive to Essex from staffs.

Wooden floor here and lots of sound transfer to rooms downstairs so even if they don’t work to improve the sound it will cut the noise bleed from bass etc

As it happens veils seem to be lifting….

Look nicer too than the current mdf bodge

Nice one :+1: Wondered who snaffled them. I was tempted - they were a very good price - but way too big for the skinny supermodel Magellans,

My k2 are just in the weight range for the silvers, tbh the stand is a size bigger than I need but it makes tweaking the position easier with ore space so very happy with them

Apparently they will take a speaker nearly double mine in weight (wouldn’t fancy lifting them on)

I have to say, they are not dialled in but already the difference is huge, big improvement to the sound I am getting

I’ve found decent isolation platforms make a really worthwhile improvement to speaker performance - even on concrete floors, but most especially on suspended wooden ones :+1:

Nice speakers and nice looking LP too.

What are you comparing them with?

Mdf board on carpet directly, wasn’t expecting quite such a big difference tbh, everything is better

Delete for dumb

Just realised what you were asking, it’s the Townsend seismic podiums that are new to me, the jbl k2 have been here for 12 years and not likely to change ever

My error in not making that obvious in the post sorry

Nope my mistake, carry on :grinning:
