My friend asked me to put together a vinyl system for his daughter in London. He’s delivering the system to her next week.
I bought a second hand amp, new deck and new speakers both from Richer Sounds. I wired it up for him today to show him how to connect it up and how to set up the tt.
It sounds pretty good. My friend and his wife were pleased so that was a relief.

Day one of ‘fuck about with cables and connectors’ began with making up an interconnect with
- Neotech NEI-3001 mk3 bulk cable
with
2. KLEI Pure 22 Harmony RCA plugs
First up this subbed out a Furutech UPOCC cable with WBT connectors which was between a Viv Labs tonearm and Fidelity Research SUT.
The next comparator to make up is a Duelund DCA copper in cotton and oil wire with the matching Duelund plastic free connectors.
Expect metaphor heavy descriptions of the life changing improvements these make to the replay of recorded music. Or not. Adequacy awaits.

Fair-dos - those are not cables or connectors I’d want to learn how to solder with!
