Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today

Just found out they still sell them for about £1200

In my head I was hoping it was supplied by Pompey man

Was the seller in Plymouth? Nearest stockists I could see yesterday were in Truro & Bath.

Yes what makes it strange is that it was from a local company who sell 2nd hand furniture

Not sure if they did any research but there is a tiny badge with dal 1923 on the side

They do house clearance work so probably need the space to flip stuff quickly

If I had a big house,I’d bang in 2 full range speakers into the red drawers

interesting piece of kit landed a few days ago . its pretty impressive . remote just slightly fiddly adjusting volume . sound is hugely spacious and fast . i can see why sugden is popular choice for many

Mmmm lovely! Excellent choice, I’d imagine. I’m a total Sugden fanboy, though I’ve never yet ascended from the lower levels.

True for everyone on here, although not necessarily about Sugden ownership as a rule.

Lower levels?

All are coloured. I like it. Others do not as they are not the last word in Power or Drive but make long term listenable music. Not for everyone.
A21a ? Stunning amp. On board MM phono stage is good making a great integrated. Likes to drive 4 Ohm loads.
A21SE meh!
Music Master. Sounds even more powerful than the A21a. The pinnacle of the Sugden sound.
Masterclass Pre / Phono / Power/ Monos. SWMBO choice of amps for well over 15 years if the Music Master is not powerful enough.

I guess I mean the higher-value Sugden amps. I’d love to try the Masterclass level. I have an A21ap, an A48, and an A25.

I wasn’t talking about Sugden equipment at all…:confounded:. I was having a gentle troll at Nick’s expense.

Certainly makes the listening chair vibrate , incredibly crystalline sound with very low noise floor . Whether it stays we shall see but rather fun I must say

What kit are you using it with?

Sugden amps are great, have had an A21a, A21a2 and A21SE so far. The A21SE was the amp that made the Tune Audios come alive.

Got one of those superb jolida modwright modded dacs [ just like one in classifieds ] gosh it really is superb with siemens valves . i tried it against the standard one and it really makes a difference . better weight to sound and soundstage . then a marantz 8005 sacd feeds the dac . this goes in to the impulse taus [rfc modded] and gives a sound which is pretty good i think .

I am rather curious about the new sugden anv 50 , its lighter than the a21se . not heard any objective comments yet on it

That’s interesting, we have quite a similar DAC and amp situation. I have modded Jolida Glass FX III, directly into Sugden A21ap. Speakers currently in a state of flux. But my DAC/Amp combo I’m immensely happy with. I’d be interested to hear that A21SE some time.
