Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today

Oh, the hurt. You know how much I miss the Boamiga. I fear that I will never again own such a statement piece.

Well, you could buy it from where you got the last one, and then within 10 minutes we’ll find the same thing for 20% of what you paid.

Again.

I hear what you’re saying John.

Better to have owned and lost than never to have owned at all.

Just bought a pair of 1More Triple Drivers on the recommendation of one @Tons_of_fun. Very competent IEM for a very reasonable price. Bass response even at low volume is really exceptional.

The presentation is very different, but imd go as far to say they are a step up from my Sennheiser HD558s, which cost about twice as much.

On my phone that looked like you had a pan of taties strapped to your wrist!
The metal to metal gave me the confuse.

Understandable, in many ways both are objet d’art

Hardly new but new in my system. About 12 years ago I bought an old Rek o Kut tonearm which came fitted with a GE (General Electric) VRII cartridge. This is an unusual device in that it has a rotating assembly with a diamond small enough for microgroove LPs one end and a larger tip for 78s at the other. Long story short I needed to cut a hole in an old headshell to accommodate the post that rotates and configure the wiring for mono output. Tracking at 6g this is sounding great on old mono LPs with great immediacy and colour. Another reminder of the sound quality that could be obtained 60+ years ago.

Auralic Vega back in as I missed it.

Moved the Hecos so they have a very small toe in and fuck do they sound good.

For the money they are an outstanding speaker.

You seem to have moved into a Palace!

I saw a cart like this for sale recently. Maybe the same one I don’t know. I was wondering what type of person would buy it!

Obviously not me as I don’t know what I’m doing.

Only if mid 90’s rental with shit faux brass fireplace and artex = palace.

Small mercies but at least the artex ceiling isn’t brown.

Haha, looks nice. Just looks much bigger from this perspective. Bet it’s lush sitting there with your cuppa.

Zoom set to 0.5x so makes it look longer and narrower.
