The Robert Altman film The Player had 13 Oscar winners and 15 Oscar nominees amongst its huge cast. Many of the cameo players appeared for free just for a chance to work with the great man. If everyone in the ensemble had charged their usual fees it is estimated the films budget would have been well over $100,000,000 just for actors
Caught up with the Tally-Ho story after missing a couple of episodes. Number 102 is moving in more than one way, as the boat goes to Port Townsend and he introduces the couple whose premises he has been using for the last 4 years.

Is it National Smiling Girl on a Phone Day?
That’s what Three Girls Jumping In The Air Holding Bits Of Paper Day has become. I guess Vodafone are sponsoring it now rather than Airtex (showing my age).
Veering slightly towards that Chris Morris episode…
UK pensions (mainly money purchase ones (defined contribution)) are taxable if you die aged 75 or older, so if you die when 74, no tax to your nominated beneficiaries from your pension, but get to 75 and they pay the amount given to them as taxable income in that tax year.
Bastards the UK Gov’t they really are, they are after your lifetime earnings to keep you and your desendants down working.
My recollection of the rules is hazy but isn’t there a distinction between crystallised pensions and non crystallised? If you have started drawdown (crystallised) before 75 then your relatives can continue with the drawdown and only pay tax on the income drawn not the whole pension. If they don’t take any drawdown the money will stay in the pension and no income tax will be paid. They can wait until they retire before taking income. Of course the nominated persons to receive the pension can include grandchildren and spouses of children who may have unused tax allowances available. Plus, you will hopefully live well beyond 75. The pension is outside of IHT too.
They want you to crystallise the pension (stop contributing) and start taking the benefits by 75.
Don’t forget the tax relief you had on the contributions you made either.
I thought it was April 1st but there really is an alcohol free pub in Dublin.
Duct taping passangers is a thing!
I think they should allow them to be duct taped.
Then the flight attendance can shine a bright light in their eyes and keep asking ‘Is it safe?’
