That a failed polypropylene filter capacitor can do a surprising amount of damage (section 1.4 here https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/547c6fa6ed915d4c10000031/QM2Report.pdf). Especially if it’s filtering the AC supply to the propulsion motors on the Queen Mary 2.

life hack, for doing percentages:

x% of y = y% of x

So, for example, if you needed to work out 4% of 75 in your head, just flip it and and do 75% of 4, which is easier.

Is it? I mostly know of matrix multiplication as being the main exception.

Yep, it was built to demonstrate group theory where multiplication is not commutative in all cases. A standard Rubiks cube move is a - b - reverse of a for two different moves a and b with the result not being the same as b.
