My bow was designed for killing small/medium game, yet I still enjoyed archery twice a week without feeling the need to murder bunny rabbits or deer.
Yes I get that you could substitute the whole thing for playing with BB guns. What’s your point? That they are willing to let people die because they want to play with firearms? I already said that was the case. I didn’t say I agreed with it.
In principal nothing every man should tend to his garden but if that shit overgrows encroaches on or effects another human / society negatively then the thinking is fucked. It seems Trump is all for people with mental illness being armed - I would suggest this is abysmal.

It’s not really my position. It’s how I assessed It. I find playing devils advocate interesting 
like I said, I found the prevalence of guns quite the culture shock and tried to understand it (I still don’t fully). Why did my Liberal Democrat voting lovely friends all have an armoury at home? Mind boggling.
There can be no justification for self defence and statistically it’s not valid. There is no justification for high capacity guns for hunting or target sports.
Guns are fun, people want them, and they will use every excuse under the sun to keep them, be it the 2nd amendment or otherwise.
Personally I don’t have an issue with guns being legal, but they should be tightly controlled like here or Germany etc. Nor am I particularly against many forms of hunting.

The inordinate effort that firearms manufacturers have had to go to in order to make the 5.56mm round in any way viable for hunting to somehow pretend it has any use beyond a firefight is one of the more bizarre things I remember reading about.
A friend of mine swore an AR15 was the best thing ever for hunting feral pigs.
It wasn’t chambered in 5.56mm though…

As far as I am aware it’s still the basic law that allows for gun ownership, with restrictions placed on the type of gun and how it is licenced. The two recent restrictions were imposed after hungerford and dunblane. The Cumbria massacre did not lead to any type of gun being banned as the gun in question was a shotgun and I assume we are content with the risk.
America, a place that started off with the best intentions, got in with the wrong crowd in college and now rants at passing traffic while injecting meth into it’s eyeball holding an RPGand AR15 so no one actually has the balls to tell them to fuck off.
To be honest, yes there is a tragic human cost to the proliferation of guns in the USA, the thing is no one who can do anything about it actually wants to. They willingly want there to be a huge number of guns in the hands of untrained, possibly mentally ill people. This may mark me as a cunt but. THEY. FUCKING. DESERVE. IT. I metaphorically weep for the children killed by a peer who has been bullied to the edge of reason (or is just a colossal prick) but until those kids who survived an ‘active shooter’ are in power and say to the gun lobby - actually you can stick your campaign money up your fucking arse, my best friend was gunned down a virgin because of you cunts and vote for better gun controls then fuck all is going to happen.
Actually a better tactic would be to take all their money with a smile and then stab the cunts in the back.
