Another sourdough attempt. Still not perfectly happy with the bulk fermentation, always seems slightly over or under but I guess I’ll find the happy medium with a bit more experience.
Didn’t notice the floured part at first & thought it was something you’d found on the beach!
That’s tomorrow sorted
We are hosting a village cake and coffee morning in the Village Hall tomorrow.
It’s held on the first Friday of every month, so now that we have retired and have no work commitments, we decided to step up.
We baked;
a mixed seed treacle loaf
a lemon drizzle cake, and
a batch of ANZAC biscuits (think thin, crisp, flapjack).
I’ll post some photos in the morning.
Are they going serious with the coffee?
It’s a drip filter machine for people who want a cup of ‘warm brown’.
We did grind our own beans for the occasion rather than use the generic CostCo powder that they usually use.
The cakes and biscuits in situ…
12 villagers attended.
No ANZAC biccies or Lemon Drizzle left, but a couple of slices of the seeded loaf remained.
