Strange question for barbecuers

A strange question perhaps…I was looking for a grill or grate that I could put on top of my gas hob to cook things (like chapatis) directly on the flames. I ordered this. When it arrived it has a big warning sticker “caution, wear gloves before install” but no other explanation- I thought someone with a (Weber?) bbq might be able to shed light on this and hopefully not tell me that what I bought is not fit for my intended purpose :stuck_out_tongue:

Does it just mean wear heat resistant gloves before you put it on top of coals?

Yes- I can’t remember why I didn’t order that- It was a stupid reason I’m sure- might have just been that I wanted it today and it was showing as delivery Monday at the time or something :stuck_out_tongue:

I suspect the warning about gloves is more to do with hot coals than anything else.

Just make sure what you use is stable on your cooker top and i am sure it will be fine. I have seen people use a wok stand and tongs
