Seems it is the ecu.
Only showed up 7 faults on the gizmo, slightly disappointing as I expected more.
One of the downsides to these high performance cars, is they constantly need tweaking.

Fixable?
A 2nd hand one is going on tomorrow, hopefully that will sort it.
Has started making a high pitched noise now, that seems to go when you put the brake on, poxy thing.
Worn pads warning?
is that the nitrous?
Yes,you’re probably right as they got mentioned last mot, will get them looked at
Check the boot for bodies.
Well didn’t quite go to plan, pin code needed to reset cu, pretty big oil leak and wire coming through on both front tyres.
Hopefully all problems rectified tomorrow
I’m a cunt for letting the tyres get that bad
Easily done with an Astra though. There’s no tyre compound on the planet that can handle that kind of visceral power for more than a few seconds.
Are you sure the wire wasn’t snow chains?
Sadly not, makes sense of that high pitch noise I kept hearing though.
Sounds like the 2nd hand ecu has sorted it.
No, stopped at New tyres. I don’t usually get involved in peripheral stuff, but seems wire poking through is illegal.
Seems quite community spirited to me, strimming all the weeds at the side of the road - Most selfless
Astra’s go so fast they lift off slightly anyway
Not sure how long the novelty will last, but being able to turn your engine off in tesco car park was fantastic.
