It would be SM60 / HRE-1 upper size, but with a separate sub 65Hz sub - so not that small.
Keith / Purite Audio had a proto pair of HRE-1s at his place a few years ago.
One of the best speakers he’s heard, I remember him writing.
They use bespoke FIR.
Danley corp doesn’t have the interest to market / make them eye candy so they will not sell.
General Audio retailer and customer inertia / keep making money off the usual multi ways will persist for the foreseeable.

Hard to find a price for them, but I have seen £25k mentioned a few years ago 
As they’re active, the price may not be too whacked out. Value would come down to the components, of course.

It’s the stuff you’re paying for — time, for one. As a loose observation, no one here has built a fully formed, domestically scalable example since this thread started back in March 2024.
There’s also the expertise — how many years of study and R&D go into something like this?
And then the concept itself. If Danley hadn’t done it, people wouldn’t be copying him.
Not saying home-brew isn’t the way to go… often it’s the only way, but I can’t begrudge a man a bit of coin for what looks like a good idea. And it’s still cheaper than OMA’s effort.

It is very true what you say around cost I must be at £4.5-£5K now total spend. That’s amps, drivers, fittings, cables, wood and DSP.
What I haven’t got yet is to cover 100-120Hz and below and the amps for that too. So I expect another £1-£1.5K on top.
Although it could easily be done for £3k
Compare that to the pre made everything in a single box above, if I had that sort of spare money around it would totally be on my list to listen too.

Yes they are decent and the one in the story is in development at the moment. Possibly exceeds my needs a little, but very compact for 24inch

The original plan what to set up the more PA oriented SH50s in the garden, have Ooni Pizza etc and then listen to the SH60s at our leisure, BUT the weather put any thoughts of slaving over a hot Ooni oven and lugging 55kg SH50s and subs about etc. Let alone sitting outside with no breeze, even under shade. Just too hot.
So music loft alone it was.
Fortunately I had a portable Aircon unit up there, which made it bearable.
Pizza became cold chicken salad with baguettes (thanks Marie), lots of cold drinks etc
Afternoon coffees and cake, became iced coffees and cake with cold Alpro Custard.
Fun time talking MEH / Synergy Horns, how they compare to other systems.
What other MEHs the visitors had heard and where Dom and Adam are at with their respective projects.

I really like a lot of what the horns were doing. There’s a real coherence to the sound that is just not there with mine; it harks back to my Lowther days. It’s actually rather uncanny that such a complex speaker can sound so seamless. (The bass was less seamless, being set to Steve mode!)
I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking and planning. Fun!

Hehe bass, I go through phases.
I think we play it louder in demo mode than I would normally do on my own.
So when on my own I have it tuned for bass Loudness (ancient amps used to have that button I remember, or as my dad’s Goodmans receiver it was called, Contour!)
I could have a loud playback FIR setup to switch to when necessary.
It’s also very track dependant.
Thunderstruck needs full beans so you feel it, other more bass dominant recordings definitely don’t..
I’m currently looking at a picture of the Danley SH50 cutaway knowing that I will not be able to resist going to get my protractor, to hold it against the screen and check the angle.

For others reading.. Adam is going to give modelling an SH50 or 60 in Hornresp, just to see..
I sent him the horn measurements i used to build the DIY SH50s, and just now the SH60s.
Curious to see what it says - way beyond my Hornresp skills / appetite to figure out how to do it..
