The dough had defrosted out of the bags.
It had virtually separated into water and sticky paste.

I coated one ball in so much flour it was getting silly, and it still stuck to the oven immediately.

Not sure what the issue was but it wasn’t like any ooni pre made I have ever used. It was like superglue. I suspect it needed a complete restart, with a decent knead, and cool down.

Despite throwing everything at it, the bases bonded to the stone and all of them ended up rolled up at the back. The main implement used was a monkey wrench at the flame end to push them back towards the front. We tried.

Just one of those things.

I was able to knock out this today with no problems. Apart from burning the basil.

I really wished I’d taken a vid. What doesn’t come across in the pic is the frantic desperation . Huge concern on your faces, especially Steve’s. You were like a rescue team trying to excavate someone in an air pocket after an earthquake . And then the devastation as Boris was laid out on a stretcher afterwards.
