Apparently, a front tyre burst, he pulled over, and while he was calling his office the bus burst into flames. Front first. So, maybe as a consequence of damage caused by the blown tyre ?

I’ve had brakes binding before. They get fucking hot; that could be enough to start a little fire. Normally quite a bit of notice; lack of ooomph and steering pulling like fuck!
You’d somehow fondly imagine that PSVs wouldn’t burn like a Chinese sweatshop!

You’re right Guy, this is also an ADL (Alexander Dennis Limited) Product; however unlike the product in the official ADL link posted above, the one you’ve photographed is based on a Chinese designed and Chinese\Hungarian assembled Underframe from BYD. I think it is based on their K9 Model. With an ADL body
It is quite different mechanically too. The traction batteries are big box thingies and mostly sit in the rear overhang and under the staircase.
The all ADL product has slim traction batteries are slim like laptop batteries and are nestled within the Underframe…
The BYD K9 Underframe also features Hub Motors. That means a fucktonne of unsprung weight. I’d be interested to see how that works when the dampers get tired…
The ADL product has the proven ZF Drop Centre Rear Axle. So room for a wider gangway over the rear axle…
I’d like to see the weight figures, but I would hope that the all ADL product is lighter. And more efficient.
I’m keen to see more UK and European content in the EV market…

I’ve just seen an almighty ruckus on the bus.
By the sound of it the driver had to go on an emergency diversion to avoid the site of a crash in Brixton, everyone who needed to got off, except one pair of lummoxes who were very surprised to find themselves in Herne Hill and were absolutely kicking off.
The driver eventually told them to (literally) fuck off. I hope he and his job are OK, although I’m sure the video will show one woman in particular being extremely aggressive. She also had a highly creative line in advanced swearing.
If I’m remembering this correctly it was along the lines of
“Pussy man! Bitch your Mum! Bitch your Nan! Bitch your whole family! Bitch YOU!”
Maybe she should have been a meat man.
