Just in case anyone should imagine any kind of progress has taken place within the PO:
Post Office said last month it stands by most Horizon convictions
Just to contextualise that statistically - since 1998 there have been roughly 16,000 - falling to 12,000 - Post Offices in the UK.
Over the same time period, 4,000 people were prosecuted using data from Horizon.
So that’s a quarter to a third of all Post Masters cheerfully considered criminals by the PO, and successfully prosecuted!
Aside from politics, is there any other walk of life where criminality runs so rampant?
Or any other class of crime where there’s been so ubiquitous a rate of prosecution?
Despite all we know, despite the utter insanity of all of this, these cunts STILL stand-by these wrongful prosecutions!?

It is a fucking disgrace. However, even if they sacked the whole Board and their first reports, the culture would remain. Am convinced this is an inevitable result of shoehorning in private sector management and ethics (lol) into a public sector body. NHS Trusts are always defending their reputation regardless of the evidence, to the detriment of patients as demonstrated by numerous scandals around maternity units. Rail companies celebrate success by slashing services. Water Boards pump shit into rivers and pay huge dividends by loading themselves with debt. Two Trident missiles can crash and burn and be declared a success. I fucking give up.
As for the PO, in this one instance, The Tory plan to use a new Law to exonerate all those convicted subpostmasters is bloody welcome. What a sorry fucking State we have become.

The Post Office’s right to prosecute their own cases should be withdrawn as they are obviously incompetent.
If there is criminality involved it should be dealt with by the police and the CPS.
