The Allotment has nearly had a clean shave

I think a greenhouse is in order for next year.

Hel has fucked off to work and left me with instructions to dig out three very well established shrubs from the back border as she moves into phase 2 of ‘get the garden how I want it’ It’s easily going to reach 27 deg this afternoon here :sun_with_face:

One down and two to go.

Then we’ve got an appointment slot at Blue Cedars nursery on Friday morning - that is going to be very expensive indeed :grimacing:

Hope you’ve got some beers in the fridge

Mostly a metric shit ton of tomatoes, but other stuff in there too. All hard labouring elements by yours truely, anything requiring the actual plants by SWMBO in the whole

Hard graft on the patch here as well.
Sweetcorn in, runner beans in, broad beans first crop eaten yesterday. Chilli plants and strawberries also looking good.
New raised bed still WIP.

Roses have gone mad.

There are a further 4 plants which flower later in the season (orange, yellow and cream).

I am now planning to purchase new roses but trying to decide what colour.
This is what happens when you live in a sweet cottage in a pretty village.

Fuck. My. Life.

Is there anyone up here in the NW ( Liverpool/Warrington/Manchester sort of area) who has a decent wood chipper they’re willing to lend out?

I’ve just butchered the Laurel hedge in the back garden and have a fuckton of cuttings/branches to get rid of, too many to sling over the back fence…

Pretty certain that the “dwarf” runner beans have become self-aware.

Any idea what this plant is?

Have you though of Dahlias this year. Ready to plant now and will flower this year. About the same size as roses.

Fucking fingers!

But no Jan got there first.

I really like the shape of ‘classic’ roses. We have a few rogue varieties which we have inherited, but I was looking for more with a trad look.
