The Allotment has nearly had a clean shave

Similar style but had no back as designed to be placed against a wall. Perfect for @crimsondonkey

Patio planters. Now mostly given away.

Rather scruffy patio blasted back to zero.

Finally finished digging over the main veg patch and put 55 potato seeds in (Maxine Jazzy plus a few self chitters from 2020). Also up potted some of the tomatoes.
We have lots of different seeds germinating in the greenhouse.

Not proud of his new sack truck at all.

I had a look at removing the spikes but I think they’re actually riveted in. Certainly nothing obvious to unscrew.

The spikes need more persuasion

Sarf London innit?

Indeed.

The previous residents got burgled and consequently got the place a wee bit strike-hardened.

The garage doors have sodding great steel bolts set into the fabric of the building, etc.

Puh-lease!

We’re Dulwich here, SE21, not rather inferior SE27, that’s about 100 yards up the road.

Found any bodies yet?

Last on this nonsense for a while, I promise.

The “best before” on a Mars wrapper (“official snack food of the British Olympic team”) helpfully entombed by the previous builders, dates the old patio at 1988.

Look out Time Team, I’m coming for your jobs.

What are you going to do with it (the exercise yard, not the Mars wrapper) ?

Just flatten it.

The raised beds have all collapsed, and many of the slabs are coggly, so rip it all out, put the old slabs back in level. That’s it really.

Some big wooden planters and some space for herbs, but nothing particularly amazing.

As feeble as it looks, in an area where most people live in flats and rely on parks we’re very lucky to have it.
