Nah it’s a keeper. As long as I don’t flip when it’s on the back wheel. Those days are long gone.
That’s my old T509 I wish I’d kept.
60s Motorcycle Mechanics mag goes uptown…
I have the want.
Runs like a Swiss watch albeit a noisy one.
Only 7 months later and I have a test ride of one of these next week
Cracking commute bike.
Or even the Yam MT-09, also good, also a triple
Definitely. The crafty dealer years ago gave me a test ride on the Mt09 first and then the MT07 !
Depending on budget , might be worth considering a Street Triple.
This too
This.
Definitely on the radar as it’s not a huge amount more. Appreciate the suggestions, keep them coming
Had a 790adv loaner while my 1290 was being serviced, decent bike, way more fun than I expected
Randomly, seeing this
reminds me of accidentally bumping into the funeral cortege for this
We were supposed to be looking at architecture but after the first couple of choppers coming through at maybe 70 mph in central London with police bikes clearing the way we just stood there and boggled for about 10 minutes.
We happened to be on the route from funeral to club house, or vice versa, I can’t remember. I was struck by what were presumably high performance Japanese bikes seeming really puny compared with the immense noisy hogs. I have no idea about motorcycles but I assume that your actual one-percenters don’t ride wannabe bikes.
I’m sure I’ll get cut down by people who know about such things, but it was quite a sight.
They tend to ride slow antiquated assortments of pig iron in a bendy frame.
As Elspeth Beard said about being followed by 1%ers in America, ‘I evaded them by riding quickly round bends’
Which are often quite awesome.
They are good at converting fuel to noise, not much else unless you like all the chrome
