Aww, bless.
You didn’t think this one through, did you.
I flip-flop around on this almost daily, but I’m currently leaning toward the Polestar 2.
It looks a bit like a Saab, and I like Saabs and Volvos. The interior is nicer than a 3. The range is the same as a 3, and it’s a bit niche. I like the idea of niche.
It’s not as batshit mad fast as a M3P, but at least it will be painted properly, the wipers will work and all the panels will line up.
Is it similar money to a 3? It looks very nice.
It’s the same price as an M3P.
There’s a very expensive brake/suspension pack and an expensive leather interior option, but that’s it. Everything else standard.
Should sell like iced Bakewells then.
In 10 years I might be able to get one .
I suspect the waiting list will be monstrous. That’s one of the downsides.
It’s not out until next summer which aligns nicely with my finances. They’re taking deposits but I want to see one first.
Long enough to consider all the options.
And buy an M8.
Have you considered starting a car thread yet? You are leaving it a bit last minute.
Must be those turbocharged electric motors.
Do Porsche source them from Dyson?
Ah, when all you can do is criticise the marketing because the product is superior
But why call an electric car Turbo or Turbo s?
It’s beyond marketing.
not its not - it is purely marketing to align with nomenclature they use on other ranges…
I guess it’s no worse than BMW simply fibbing about something being a 330 or whatever.
Meanwhile, in an unfortunate turn of events, my neighbour - who had said that she would never get a car, so we could use her space - is getting a car. So I will not be able to charge at home ever.
Solves the extension cable issue, I guess!
Not before next weekend hopefully
Next month apparently!
Basically this. Porsche always have base model → S → (sometimes GTS) → Turbo
It’s to preserve the existing tiering structure they have.
I agree, it’s daft, but Porsche customers can be conservative, and they’re pandering to them as they have the money.

Oops! So plan B? C?
There’s actually a lot we can do - Claire can pop it to one of the town centre ones after the school run and go on to work, for example, then I pick it up at lunchtime when the free 4 hour parking is ended.
But if many other people do this then I might need to up my Turan consumption!
Sounds like a win. I’ll be waiting.
Has 90 minutes free parking as well, so we don’t need to rush!
