In case they hadn’t learned from BP…

Makes sense in the long term. Why carry the batteries around?
Should be slots like scalextric really.

Two spoke steering wheel - that marks it out as a entry level model surely? Does it have wind-up windows, too?

I think pickup systems in the road have been trialed too but there are safety issues akin to crossing railway lines with third rail systems at track level that are hard to overcome. Someone will build the pantograph into a telescoping spoiler and it’ll work like a charm.

You’ve just invented micro railways.

A motorway charging system would allow much smaller batteries, which would really help.

I still like the idea of computer-controlled road trains, where vehicles couple up to reduce drag (and possibly share charge). But it’s a while off yet.

Meh. Skip the on road charging and go straight for Maglev please.

Would you go near a Fiat Maglev?

Just popped in to office to pick up new car. Needs charging. Have to stay here for a short while.

isn’t the first charge overnight to condition the batteries

Already done. Only takes a few hours to charge.
Really impressed with it so far.
Took me a while to figure out how to start it. Was expecting the engine to turn on when I pressed Start. Doh!!
Can set it to put the climate control on in the morning before I set off in the mornings. Like that bit.
Pretty quiet even when using the engine. But am used to a diesel.

Elon Musk butt hurt is the best butt hurt.

Might not be the most disinterested website, but it might have a valid point…

Tesla conspiracy theories are the best conspiracy theories.

Who do you believe? Top Gear, or basically anyone else?

Missing the point. I’m just enjoying the resulting butt hurt.
