The Milk Float Thread

Colwick Loop Road thing!

It’s down to the local authorities. They have delegated powers.

Yep. Paint options. Seat trim choice (it’s all pleather) and self drive.
She quoted 500 quid towards a power point at home and maybe another 300 to pay which should be offset by fuel savings.

(But we share utility bills and pay our own fuel costs - so I’ll have to think that one though!).

Check out the Octopus Go electricity tariff, very cheap at very specific times at night.

I was advised to put a charging point in as part of our renovations. Apparently, it is a decent selling point if/when you want to move house. I’ve not done it yet as we’re still to landscape the front garden.

Don’t you need to have an EV to get the 500 quid charger grant?

This is the second source of delay. I’ve been too fecked to think of buying cars.

Tesla ordered apparently. Due in June.
Should be interesting.

If I borrow it for bake offs you lot better have some extension cables…

Which version, Steve?

I’ve been playing around with abetterrouteplanner.com to see if I could get away with the SR+, but really I need the LR.

I’ve just ordered a special 25 MTR length of this, so you better come to my future bakeoffs now.

I’m still wondering if I can be bothered to try the Ionic on the yearly Gatwick run for the parents.

300 mile round trip, probably an hour of charging.

Vs £60 in fuel.

They probably need to put reliable chargers in the Gatwick car park to make me bother, which they haven’t yet.

Standard one.
An objective review of mileage and use meant there was no reason to pay above the work allowance for anything with more range.
Insurance etc. is all covered so its literally just the leccy bill.

The mid range model was another hundred odd quid a month as a top up contribution

Yeah, it’s quite a chunk of cash more.

Tesla’s need the silver fuses.

Makes the driving more clear in the corners.
Don’t want any disappointment when I decline inferior plugs.

I was pestering her to up spec. But it’s a waste of cash.
Maybe when the whole sector takes off and refinement kicks in… and bells and whistles become worth it.

A few more mpg doesn’t work for the sub ten mile shuttles she does. She’s already had a contstant issue with her particulate filters as she never does any long trips/ high revs.

New Beemer i4. Hideous front :face_vomiting:

Holy fuck. I just went blind because of that.

Think this needs to come out again.

“What are we going to do? EVs don’t need a grille, and that’s part of our signature look!”

“Let’s double down and make it fucking huge!”

“Genius, we’re saved!”

I think it is sort of alright. Not any uglier than other EV’s really.

I like BMW. They are nice. Well sort of. The seat doesn’t seem as comfy as I would like. Trying different positions to try to improve that.

It’s shocking. I hope they bin it from the production car.
