Not that long !
I realised once I bought it , I ll see how I get on with it
What did you think of it Matt - I havenât got round to reading mine yet.
Itâs a big read. Glad it doesnât linger around his later production stuff and goes more with his 70âs/80âs work. Reaffirms what a slightly bonkers bloke Eno is.
The Moonâs a Balloon.
David Nivenâs autobiography.
Probably one of the finest books Iâve read.
My god I feel old. I read that over 50 years ago
It was someone Inwas speaking to on holiday that recommended I should read it.
Not normally my thing, but loved it.
Be careful of that sort of thing.
Steve Earle tells a story of a time wen he visited Townes Van Zandt.
His car broke down and neither of them had any money to fix it until a royaly cheque arrived so he stayed for a week or two.
They got talking and drinking and putting the world to rights and TVZ recommended that Steve Earle should read War and Peace.
Earle had left school at a young age without much of an education but he respected TVZ who was well read and had a college education so he decided to give it a go.
He said that he struggled with it but managed to get it read in the fortnight and was eager to have an âintellectualâ chat with Townes about it.
He asked Townes what he thought of it and Townes replied
âOh I have never read it, it is a huge book, I havenât got time for that, I just thought it would be a good idea if you read itâ
A classic
Will give that a go.
You wonât be disappointed.
Just bare in mind your ribs!
Does it fill an expanse sized hole?
Itâs the sequel to Children of Time. Itâs very well researched and conceived.
Do you like fantasy books too? One of best things Iâve read for years is The Fifth Season trilogy. Would really recommend that.
No.
Truth.
