The shit that doesn't merit its own thread (the resurrection)

My wife tends to over cook everything.

Q) Am I more at risk from eating the over cooked food or from complaining about it

Mine too, but since I taught her how to use a meat thermometer, it’s only the mushy vegetables I have to put up with…

You have absolutely no grounds to complain about the food placed in front of you Jim, as anyone there on Saturday will confirm!

Had to leave a sizable portion of broccoli, last meal I had over at my Dad’s. Simply couldn’t eat it it was to far gone. Things have improved a wee bit, since they don’t use the pressure cooker so often. But I’d say 60/70% of the veggies they cook are well overdone. They probably think I’m a lot fussier than I am as to what veggies I’ll eat, when in fact there’s little I won’t in general.

Veggies are a far less scary proposition at my Mums.

Maybe the lack of attention to detail helps us with hifi upgrades

Those cavemen must have been really skilled Chefs when roasting.

My nan used to be famous for her ability to overcook veg, it was so bad that carrots used to leave a film of wax on the roof of the mouth.

Are you sure they were carrots and not little orange suppositories ?

And then get your mates in the BBC to run your press release thinly disguised as news.

No was empty today, slightly hazy, but really nice.

Mmmmm, wild boar

Do you have a gun?

Not aware i’ve ever seen a boar.

Why are they called wild boar?

Sort of implies you get house trained ones.

I’ve not seen them up there but others have and have had issues between the boar & their dogs.

yes, I would imagine a Wild Boar could make a hell of a mess of a dog
