I delivered it to Leicester on a Thursday, the owner sent pics in situ at home on the following Sunday, in China! Business class he took the plinth on as hand luggage :sunglasses:

New Thorens TD-402 DD turntable. £799

Having seen all (except that new one) of the current Thorens range, there isn’t a single one I would be interested in.

I’ll stick with my TD-124 when they knew how to make turntables.

I’ve never owned a classic Thorens. I did have a TD2010 for a while:

This was in Australia. The dry conditions did not agree with the 2010 which used to build up such a lot of static that the discharges were sometimes large to cause the pre-amp to change inputs. It was sold promptly.
