Things that suck (mumsnet: vacuum cleaners)

Hmm, i can get 20% discount on some Shark models.
Which do you have?

We have the NZ801 but it’s probably been superseded as ours is 2-3 years old.

Blocked or leaking pipe, filters clogged?

No, its shit.

We bought one of these but in a different colour (ie not rose gold trim)

Been reliable?

Yep we’ve had it since Sep last year so not long but very easy to use and maintain and is exceptional at getting up pet hair etc.

Replaced a Miele which was so shit they refunded us in the end.

Would never have a Dyson again for unreliability and cunt of an owner reasons.

I assume cordless arent as good at the suck?

Same.

Since 2017 I’ve been using an earlier model that is very similar. I’ve had no issues other than needing a new set of filters. Buy with confidence.

Curve ball….

I have had a Sebo for 3 years no issues, decent suction and doesn’t clog with the cat hair.

My mums one is probably 20 years old now still going strong

Our Dyson V15 is faultless.
The new brush bars have no tangle hair inserts that work.
It’s a dream and the laser hard floor cleaner is superb. Meh to the haters.

They are all shite unless you clean every month. And then it is shite motors. Personally I’ll never buy Dyson again(aside politburo) shark is lasting longer so far…but the first line is all

Serve her right the brute

I’d like to know the thought process that concluded with the fire brigade being the most appropriate organisation to attend the incident.

It’s rather a shame she didn’t attempt to wear it as a hat to A&E. Maybe there’s a niche for emergency barbers?
