When I was closer to the subject and worked for a local hospice we often got donated vacuum cleaners.
95% of which didn’t work.
The majority donated were Dyson and Shark
Get a Henry. Professional cleaners use them because they are powerful and last for ever.

Shark are the business, as for Henry type cylinder vacs. they are fucking useless if you have a spaniel who sheds around half a bushel of hair a day.
